Enhanced
Routing 8XX service is designed to help you adjust quickly to changing
customer needs. It's the perfect call-center solutions for customers
who need the flexibility to re-route the termination of incoming
8XX calls quickly and easily, based on a number of variables.
Origination
Control
- Origination
Control allows for the customer to control who can terminate to
their 8XX service.
- The
restriction or allowance of calls is based on the geographic origination
of the call and can be defined by NPA-NXX, LATA, State or the
U.S. and limited international regions.
Enhanced
Routing Controls
-
Time of Day/Day of Week
An incoming 8XX call can be routed to multiple locations based
on the Time of the Day in half-hour increments (i.e. 0830, 1200,
1530, etc.) and the Day of Week that the call is received.
- Day
of Year/Holiday
o An incoming 8XX call can be routed to multiple locations based
on the Day of the Year and Holidays.
o Holidays are based on a standard Holiday schedule, enabling
customers to leave their TOD/DOW routing in place and still make
exceptions for holiday call volume.
- Percentage
Allocation
o Incoming 8XX calls can be distributed to multiple destinations
based on percentages in 5% increments.
- Geographic
Routing
o Incoming 8XX calls can be routed to up to 100 locations based
on the originating state or the NPA-NXX.
- Emergency
Redirect
o A number can be re-routed to a different terminating location
quickly when an emergency makes such routing necessary.
o These routing changes may be made within 45 minutes from the
receipt of the Emergency Redirect order.
- Network
IVR
o A 1 to 10 prompt audio menu is developed in cooperation with
the customer.
o Callers then use this menu to self-direct their calls to the
appropriate call center or destination.
o Completely configurable for re-prompt tries and destinations.
Inbound
Features
-
Vanity Numbers
o Broadwing can check to determine if a vanity number is available
and reserve the number upon the customer's request.
- 8XX
Directory Listings
o Customer name and 8XX number can be listed in the national 8XX
database.
- Network
IVR
o 1 - 10 Audio menu prompts guide the caller to multiple call
center destinations.
- International
Toll Free Service (ITFS)
o Inbound toll-free access from over 60 countries.
- Dialed
Number Identification Service (Dedicated Only)
o DNIS delivers the dialed number as part of the call record,
which enables the customer to identify their traffic by dialed
number, even if several 8XX numbers terminate to the same location.
- Automatic
Number Identification Delivery (Dedicated Only)
o ANI delivers the number of the calling party to the terminating
location.
- Direct
Termination Overflow (DTO) (Dedicated Only)
o If all DS0s on a T1 are in use, DTO allows for incoming calls
to be routed to another T1 or to a POTS number.
