MultiConnect
Redirect provides the customer business continuance in case of a service
disruption at the customer's premise or the local access circuit providing
service between the Broadwing network and the customer premise. This
service is available with MultiConnect 14 and MultiConnect 28. Other
MultiConnect service options may be supported by ICB.
Business Continuity
Provides a secondary host location to back up hub-and-spoke MultiConnect
network.
• Protects network function in the case of power outages, natural
disasters and other emergency situations
• Guards against DS-3 local loop and/or customer premise equipment
failure
Secure Activation
• In the case of a network-threatening emergency, company officials
- authorized by you in advance - notify Broadwing's Enterprise Management
Center
• Broadwing then switches your host connection from the primary
to the secondary location within a predefined, guaranteed timeframe
